Our products
Grips are much more than a simple accessory: they play an essential role in the quality of your game by providing the link between your racket and your hand. They influence the grip, comfort and control of your racquet. At Babolat, we offer a wide range of grips to meet the specific needs of each player. It's important to choose your grips carefully, and we're going to help you make the right choice.
Which grip is right for you?
Looking for a more comfortable grip?
At Babolat, we have two grips that are particularly suited to players looking for greater comfort. Available in two different colours, the Syntec Evo provides excellent comfort thanks to its soft feel and absorption capacity. It already pre-equips the Evo Strike, Evo Drive and Evo Aero rackets. For maximum comfort, you can opt for the thicker Xcel Gel, which offers a soft feel and incomparable flexibility.
Both are very pleasant to hold, and are also among the most durable models in the range.
Looking for more feel?
If you're looking for a more direct connection with your racket to maximise the sensations, it's best to turn to a thinner grip. Used by our professional players, the Syntec Pro remains one of the benchmarks on the circuit thanks to its excellent absorption and grip. In particular, it is pre-fitted to our Pure Drive and Pure Aero. For an even thinner, lighter grip, we recommend the Syntec Team, ideal for those who don't want to increase the size of their handle too much.
For the most purist among you, the Natural Grip in genuine leather will give you the ultimate feel and a firm touch, without changing the size of your handle.
Looking for affordable performance?
Offering a perfect balance between comfort and feel, Babolat's Syntec Uptake is considered a must-have for players looking for an affordable, durable grip.
How do I keep my grip in good condition?
To ensure that your grip retains all its qualities, it's important to look after it, and a few simple tips can help to improve its lifespan:
- Avoid prolonged exposure to heat and sun as much as possible: this can make your grip stiffer and less comfortable, and reduce its lifespan. When you've finished playing, store your racket in a suitable bag away from direct sunlight.
- Also remember to clean your hands regularly: dirt and bacteria accelerate wear. By cleaning your hands before playing, you reduce the risk of damaging your grip too quickly.
- To further protect your main grip, you can also opt for an overgrip. This additional accessory will help you keep your grip longer and improve grip and absorption. We recommend you choose one from Babolat's range of overgrips, specially designed to improve the comfort of your racket grip.
When should I change my grip?
It's important to remember to change your grip to maintain good grip and ideal comfort. How often you should change your grip depends on a number of factors (your playing style, the type of grip you use, whether you use an overgrip, how often you play and the weather conditions), but as a general rule we recommend changing your grip once a year.
Also look out for signs that it's time to change your grip: loss of grip, grip crumbling or losing its original texture and colour, painful grip, loss of absorption.
